What was the cost of making these stairs? - I'm talking about the materials and labour fee. I'm making a new house and I want to use stairs like these. I'm sure that constructing a modern staircase costs more. 4ft wide, 5.5ft high, 4 runs of these. What would the price be for making stairs like these but with my height, width and number of runs? THANKS! »
Andy Pike Solely based on the photo above and without running actual numbers for this stair, I would say the pictured stair would run in the 12k-18k range. Materials and labor only. There would be and additional cost for drawings, engineering, permits, etc. Other unknowns would be the structure that the stair is attached to. There could be some additional cost to reinforce the walls or subfloor.

When I saw this, I instantly thought about my basement. We can't decide if we want to close off our stairs or leave them open. This pretty much solves that problem! P.S.: I'll be sure to have a bottle of glass cleaner on hand at all times.
This example melds my previous ideabook on steel stairs with this one on cantilevered steps. A wood stair cantilevered from one wall is built in wood, making it ribbonlike, yet boxy. The glass guardrail reinforces the floating effect of this stair.
Me parecen super ligeras y elegantes, se adaptan a subir en poco espacio, y lo que sí, cambiaría los railings por algo que no fuese cristal (algo como lo de las ideas anteriores).
