Trying to figure out the pattern of the backsplash to tell our installer - We have the correct tile ordered from a certified retailer that sells oceanside glass and since it does not come on a mesh backing we need to give our installer the exact pattern of how the tiles are arranged, and can't seem to figure it out from this photo. Any assistance would be greatly apppreciated. »
Stephanie Duerden This is a random linear pattern with a 30% offset. By the look of the image there is one row of 2.5"x10" followed by two rows of 1.25"x10" and repeated by there. The recommendation is to have the installer lay out the pattern prior to setting so that you can agree on the aesthetic beforehand.
would this back splash work with.... - Hi we are decorating and I really like the idea of having glass for a back splash.
we would like to have natural hickory floors , likely natural maple cupboards. I like the color of a dark version of revere pewter by BM paint..
I have white appliances that will not be swapped out (dual gas oven, gas top).
we have yet to pick a counter top
Does this back splash work with the above? »
Oceanside Glasstile Hi Karlitabana, We've passed your question along to our in-house Designer. We want to be sure you get the best advice in terms of your specific design. :) Please hang tight, we haven't forgotten about you.
calikym I'm trying to get a price for this tile... Been to the online website but nothing called elevations shows up. Please will you message me the info. How is it sold? I'm in Camarillo and my sister lives in Carlsbad (your home location). She could pick it up potentially..or we could have you ship it.
Liquorish Stone and Tile Work @shopper13
A local cabinet maker can easily match these slab-door cabinets for you, and you would more than likely have 3/4" plywood box construction. That would outlast most other brands out there at the moment, that use cheaper materials.
Try use Houzz to find someone in your area :)
Stephanie Duerden DDGBaldwin, yes, I've been with Oceanside Glasstile going on 6 years. Our designer Cathy Aroz helped with this design and confirmed that this is all Platinum in the 3 different finishes. What you are seeing is how the lighting affects those finishes. The iridescent tile is more reflective so it appears to have a much whiter tone in the picture, which in turn makes the matte finish appear to be much darker. I hope that helps!
Glass TileGlass takes a million years to fully break down in a landfill, and recycling glass consumes just 30 percent of the energy required to produce it from raw materials.Nearly all of Oceanside Glasstile's products contain recycled content, which ranges from 30 to 97 percent of the tile composition. i know we have a blacksplash that is the cabinets, correct? or is it a continuation of the countertop... either way, is it cool to do something different from both like in this photo?
