This home is an oasis of calming color and sophisticated, transitional design. The kitchen has a dark wood floor with a farmhouse sink, white louvered cabinets, marble countertops, a white marble backsplash, stainless steel appliances, and an island. The great room and living room also have dark wood floors with white walls and comfortable furniture. The dining room and sunroom flaunt calming hues with a printed rug adding a dash of bright color. The master bedrooms and guest room showcase a green and yellow palette with luxe linen and furnishing, while the kid's room is a light green with comfy bunkbeds. If the exterior of a house is its face the interior is its heart. The house designed in the hacienda style was missing the matching interior. We created a wonderful combination of Spanish color scheme and materials with amazing distressed wood rustic vanity and wrought iron fixtures. The floors are made of 4 different sized chiseled edge travertine and the wall tiles are 4"x8" travertine subway tiles. A full sized exterior shower system made out of copper is installed out the exterior of the tile to act as a center piece for the shower. The huge double sink reclaimed wood vanity with matching mirrors and light fixtures are there to provide the "old world" look and feel. Notice there is no dam for the shower pan, the shower is a step down, by that design you eliminate the need for the nuisance of having a step up acting as a dam. Photography: R / G Photography

This project was a full bathroom remodel for a wonderful client in Hayes Valley. The bathroom was designed to maximize storage and to be easy to clean. The design takes advantage of the 10' high ceilings with bright yellow-orange paint and staggered hand made glass pendant lights. The client loves amber glass so we added amber glass mosaic accent tile, vessel sink, pendants and hardware. We took a open basement of a modern style home, and built a livable downstairs space for this client to host out of town guests or use as a second living space. The basement was designed to keep the look a modern look that would coincide with the rest of the homes exterior as well as main living area. Straight lines, dark colors, and clean edges were used to help maintain this modern feel. The master shower has a lighted area incorporated into the tile so that it adds a unique look that shines from behind the beautiful gold colored tile. An efficient alcove shower with head high white tiles gets a water theme with navy blue "bubbly" round tile accent. Sand colored ceramic floor tiles and blue, tinted privacy window carries the ocean theme from inside to out.
