As a graduate of the Residential Interiors Certificate Program at the University of Alberta, I bring professionalism to my personal passion: interior design. I am a trained Professional Organizer through the Professional Organizers in Canada, and a certified True Colour Expert through Maria Killam Training. Since 2010, I have worked with clients to help them reach not only their interior design goals, but also their lifestyle goals. For instance: making entertaining easier, creating an inviting atmosphere for office clients, or enjoying a calmer home environment through smarter storage and organization. Part of what I love about being a designer is seeing the potential in every space. Previous to design, I worked in hospitality and counselling – two sectors where interior design plays an understated, yet vital role. When approaching design, I like to think about the impact a room will have on mood and experience, so that I can tailor materials, colours, and layout accordingly. Being a mother of two, I know how big a difference a well-functioning space can make in managing the stress in our lives, as well as knowing what materials will continue to look fantastic after years of wear and tear. I come from a big family where entertaining and cooking have always been at the heart of spending time together and the kitchen is a natural gathering place.
