Bubblyjock: This is a rental and the paint colors are unknown. But from seeing it in person I would say the living room paint color is similar to Benjamin Moore's Vermilion.

This place is gorgeous! I wish I had the space to set out all my "collections" as beautifully as this! As for dust, I imagine they, like me, just aren't overly bothered by dust if it doesn't present an actual health issue. If you're into vintage, you kinda accept that dust and rust and peeling bits are part of the deal :D flick a duster once a week and get on with your life...!

My large bedroom closet is right outside my bathroom door. I had my husband install shelves to give me all of the bathroom storage I need.....large bath towels, baskets for extra toilet paper, personal toiletries. It reduces the need for bulky storage in the bathroom itself. I only want to store essentials in there.

Regarding Celtsinpa's concerns of reglazing the tub/tiles and having the paint/glaze flake off...it does. I bought a condo in 2010 that had all the tiled areas of the bath glazed a neutral eggshell? It is now apparent that it was to cover the 70's avocado green tile that was original. When I first moved in I thought little of the neutral bathroom other than it would be easy to redecorate temporarily. Unfortunately after the first year I noticed several areas where it had begun to flake and since then it has just gotten worse. It could have been from improper preparation prior to the glazing. I don't know as I don't plan on having it redone for sure! Every time I have to clean with any type of materials such as a sponge it gets worse! I 'think' the reason it lasted as long as it did was due to my rare need of hand cleaning. I have always used a spray- on tub and shower cleaner while afterwards letting the fan run until area is completely dry. Hope this helps. But just saying...not for me...

I love old wood furniture & old tools I can hang on my wall. That's about where I draw the line. The thought of a used couch that who knows what happened on it just creeps me out & I agree about possible infestations too. If I knew the original owner I wouldn't care, but not when its a mystery! I feel the same about clothes. And a used pillow? Not on your life! I don't want my face where someone else's face or worse was! I guess I just have issues with things that have fabric on them. Example: I have a living room chair in my house that was the perfect place to change my kids diapers when they were little. I did cover it before, but I know it has a little pee soaked into it (yes I cleaned it whenever that would happen & it has never stunk). I'm not going to give that to someone else, but a lot of people would & not think anything of it.
