Renovations Redefined

We graduated in the 80's so when we first walked through our newly purchased home, we felt as if we had gone back in time. The floor plan and structure is very unique so we knew with a full remodel we could bring this home into a new age. My husband and I have experience with building homes and we wanted to be involved in its transformation. We began researching for remodeling contractors and interviewed several. After spending weeks hearing of the high flat rates they would charge us, we came across Renovations Redefined and its new perspective on home remodels. With their unique style of charging by the hour and assisting us with as much or as little as we needed, we knew this could be a good fit for us. After the first visit and meeting with Jesse Johns we quickly made a decision to move forward. He began organizing all of our thoughts and preparing a plan for a successful remodel. Jesse had wonderful ideas and was also very open to ours as we moved through our big project together. It quickly became a team effort and Jesse made us feel like family. Of course, no family is perfect and we had a few bumps along the way, but Jesse was always available to make it right and be sure we were happy. After going through so many remodeling projects that were horror stories, we decided to go to the Home and Garden Show and talk with NARI ( National Association of Remodelers Industry ). My husband talk with the president and he recommended a few places in Dallas. When I called Jesse John of The Cabinet Concierge and/or Renovations Redefined, he took the time on the phone to explain how his company works. He runs his company a little different than most companies. He is upfront, shows you the time sheet on each person who worked on your project for that week, materials used and whether it is production or labor. He has nothing to hide. Jesse listened to our wants and helped us stay close to our budget. The planning process went so smoothly and they were able to gather information to present a plan that we loved. This team is outstanding to work with. Thoughtful, creative, hardworking and dedicated, they make you feel that your every need is of the upmost importance! Todd as a project manager is outstanding. Very knowledgeable in his craft and customer service oriented. Wamo the electrician, Steve the cabinet installer, and Roy the plumber were excellent. We are thrilled with the finished product! The cabinets used are of excellent quality and made by Custom Wood Products. The result is amazing! Our home is elegant, comfortable and very functional. I purchased my cabinets from Jesse and could not be happier. The quality is amazing. They are like beautiful well made furniture. I love how the patterns in the wood flow from one door/drawer to the next. It is clear the amount of work spent planning and then building my cabinets was extensive and done by knowledgeable and experienced people. They are solid with amazing build quality. It is obvious there were no corners cut and I really feel they were worth every penny. I now find myself walking into the kitchen for no reason at all. I just love being in there. Thank you!!!

We highly recommend Jesse Johns for kitchen kitchen cabinets and design. We gutted and completely remodeled our kitchen a few months ago and Jesse did an outstanding job of kitchen design. Why do we recommend him? •He is a creative genius. •He is a really good person. •He is a problem solver. •He KNOWS kitchens. We had a number of contractors give estimates and discuss design. We had paid for a design we really liked from an award winning kitchen remodeler. Without seeing that design and just talking through the things we wanted, Jesse came up with an innovative idea that no one had thought of for one particular area. It really opened up the kitchen, added a much needed design element and more storage. Our kitchen is really small. Providing counter space and storage is critical. It is also enclosed on three sides so the cabinets had to fit together like a puzzle. There was much need for creative problem solving and persistence. It all came together beautifully, there is a place for everything with room to spare, and it is an efficiency dream. Everyone we met in Jesse’s company is extremely nice and a pleasure to work with. We love our new kitchen! As an added bonus, if there is any little thing that needs adjusting, Jesse takes care of it and promises that it is a lifetime guarantee. We couldn’t be more pleased.

Renovations Redefined remodeled three bathrooms on the east side of the house in the first phase and the kitchen and an additional bath on the west side of the house in the second phase. We lived there the entire time. Jesse Johns was great to work with. In the planning phases, he listened to our needs and aesthetic desires and came up with creative, high quality plans for achieving them. We planned everything and then spent time acquiring all materials before the actual work started on each phase. The construction moved smoothly with no wait for orders that had not arrived. The master bath has a large window in the space where we wanted to create a shower. Jesse had it built out of Corian and designed it to hold a stained glass window between frosted and clear glass. He modified the design of the cabinets to give me a truly custom look. He put blocking in the walls around tubs, toilets, and shower in case we install grab bars in the future. We have pictures and measurements for locating these. The design of the kitchen was especially nicely done. The placement of appliances make it very efficient to work in. Some features I especially like are: the slotted areas for platters, baking trays and cutting boards; the spice cabinet that utilizes doors as well as shelves to make everything easy to see; the inexpensive in-cabinet compost container; and the lower corner cabinet with its shelves that cantilever out all the way. The shelves of the corner cabinet move so smoothly that I can stand bottles of olive oils and vinegars on them without fear of toppling. All cabinet doors and drawers are self closing and quiet. The subs that worked on my home were without exception professional and competent. We came in under budget on the first phase and slightly over on the second phase. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to others.
