TreHus Architects+Interior Designers+Builders It's a 'Classique' 20" Pendant Round by Stonegate Designs. The pattern is called Urchin Stripe, which I cannot find online right now. Another place to check if you like the patterned look on these drum pendants is at the Galbraith & Paul products sold through Room & Board.

ejmcgrenere This is something I have not even given a thought about, but what a wonderful idea. I think most take too much for granted.
It will certainly take a lot of time, but very sensible.
Thank you so much for putting this in print, helps make all decisions so much easier for those whom have to take care of
All your final wishes. Ellie_j McGrenere

mugsy1703 I tried to do this once, but it was the most onerous task imaginable. I never did complete it. Makes my hair stand on end just thinking about it. I know it should be done ...

TreHus Architects+Interior Designers+Builders Thanks! The hutch was custom made by Eull Woodworks - a local cabinet shop. See their website here: http://eullwoodworks.com/

I would think you could get most any custom cabinet shop to make one for you based on our pictures.

TreHus Architects+Interior Designers+Builders Thanks! I love this island too. It was made by Eull Woodworks, a local custom cabinet shop. See http://eullwoodworks.com/
This is a custom stain that was put together to match existing cabinetry (see photo below). We used the good old fashioned technique of staining a test piece of oak with a few shades that we thought would be close, and then comparing to the original and repeating that process till it was right. I don't have a record of the mixture that ended up being used - maybe Eull does? But I would imagine you can come up with something you love if you are willing to take a few hours experimenting. The clear coat is a satin polyurethane. Sorry I can't give you a simpler answer!

TreHus Architects+Interior Designers+Builders It's quartersawn oak with a natural finish. If you get a good flooring guy to help you, they can often find a good match. Usually we will have them mock up a few pieces of wood to make sure we've got a good match that will tie in well with the existing floor (which was quartersawn oak in the rest of the house as well).

TreHus Architects+Interior Designers+Builders Thanks! The counter top on the right is stainless steel (think commercial kitchen) and on the left it is soapstone. Soapstone is not for everyone - most people recommend putting mineral oil on it, and not everyone wants to do that. Talk to your contractor and your stone retailer about the pros and cons before buying it. Here's another kitchen we recently finished where we also used soapstone.

TreHus Architects+Interior Designers+Builders Like most of the decks we build, this one is ipe, which is (as you say) an extremely durable exotic wood that stands up well to the elements.

TreHus Architects+Interior Designers+Builders The roof over the entry is copper. Yes, we made sure it completely covers the step, but we also put it there for aesthetic reasons. The owners didn't just want siding replaced, they wanted curb appeal - the copper roof, the extra gables, the brackets, etc. add visual interest. The copper adds a nice craftsman aesthetic, adds emphasis to the entryway, and breaks up the slope of the roof (which was pretty much one big shed roof before). See below for a 'before' picture.

cc956 What a transformation! I have purchased a small ranch and doing a complete remodel. I am going to incorporate a similar porch with metal roof as the main entryway. It will be between the house and new garage. I love the look and the stonework around the columns. Tks again Claire

TreHus Architects+Interior Designers+Builders That light fixture was just about the only thing we didn't replace in this bathroom. We thought it had a nice clean, modern look to it, so we thought we'd save some money and keep it. Here's a photo of it in the original bathroom. Sorry I can't be of more help finding one!

TreHus Architects+Interior Designers+Builders It is indeed. It's a terra cotta color - if you want your floor to look similar, I would think that most good concrete staining companies could do a decent match from this photo.

TreHus Architects+Interior Designers+Builders It does require a special fridge - you need a fridge with 'integrated panels' or 'cabinet front' fridge. You will need to make sure your cabinet maker knows what fridge you are buying so he can make an appropriate front. You can do the same thing with dishwashers. In this project, we used a Sub-Zero 700TCI w/ Integrated Panels. Here's a link to the manufacturer's website:
