This amazing kitchen was a total transformation from the original. Windows were removed and added, walls moved back and a total remodel.
The original plain ceiling was changed to a coffered ceiling, the lighting all totally re-arranged, new floors, trim work as well as the new layout.
I designed the kitchen with a horizontal wood grain using a custom door panel design, this is used also in the detailing of the front apron of the soapstone sink. The profile is also picked up on the profile edge of the marble island.
The floor is a combination of a high shine/flat porcelain. The high shine is run around the perimeter and around the island. The Boos chopping board at the working end of the island is set into the marble, sitting on top of a bowed base cabinet. At the other end of the island i pulled in the curve to allow for the glass table to sit over it, the grain on the island follows the flat panel doors. All the upper doors have Blum Aventos lift systems and the chefs pantry has ample storage. Also for storage i used 2 aluminium appliance garages. The glass tile backsplash is a combination of a pencil used vertical and square tiles. Over in the breakfast area we chose a concrete top table with supports that mirror the custom designed open bookcase.
The project is spectacular and the clients are very happy with the end results.

Solstice Kitchen and Bath
This compact transitional kitchen design in Bowie, MD utilizes a well-organized layout and clever storage solutions to maximize the available space. The Decora Harmony maple kitchen cabinets in Urban finish pack ample storage into the perimeter cabinetry, and a peninsula separating the kitchen and living area also provides extra work space. The upper cabinets have frosted glass with in cabinet lighting, which adds light and depth to the room. Customized storage includes pull out garbage and recycling cans and corner cabinet storage with a lazy Susan. The gray cabinets are accented by Top Knobs Pennington pulls, a Pebble Rock Q Quartz countertop, and 12 x 13 mosaic tile backsplash from Compass Tile in multiple gray tones. A combination microwave range hood fits neatly into the layout, along with the Royal USA stainless sink with a Delta Trinsic faucet. The Solstice team also installed a new patio door and kitchen floor tile designed to match the direction of wood flooring in the adjacent living area.

This home was a sweet 30's bungalow in the West Hollywood area. We flipped the kitchen and the dining room to allow access to the ample backyard.
The design of the space was inspired by Manhattan's pre war apartments, refined and elegant.

The littlest member of the family loves animals and it seemed only fitting that her bedroom should be filled with woodland creatures. Our team installed hundreds of white birch wallpaper "trees, branches, and leaves". A collage of canvas artwork depicts animals while colorful drapery make the room feel cozy. An upholstered swivel chair is the perfect for reading stories and a large area rug serves a playtime central.

A display area was created for guitar instruments in the home office so it became an inspiring space to both work and enjoy the homeowner's hobby. His prized possessions are showcased while also offering easy access to play.
The low chairs without arms were selected to be ideal for comfortable guitar-playing.
Display shelving is retrofitable if the owners decide to move or eventually want to change the function of the room; extra shelving can be put in to create open bookcases.
The neutral color palette of the room complements the feel of the rest of the home and allows for the guitars to shine as the focal point.
The large desk provides ample work space to accommodate the TV and two computers needed for trading.

New England Flavor – This young family of five requested a New England feel for their kitchen remodel, fitting well with the home’s Colonial styling.
Vaulted Ceiling – Existing vaulted ceiling, skylights and a large picture window add an interesting contrast to the room’s traditional styling.
Lighting – Post mounted pendants artfully arranged between the skylights and under cabinet lighting supplement the room’s abundant daylight.
Bar Sink – A small bar sink near the range provides an area for kitchen helpers to work.
Seafoam Palette – Oceanstone granite and soft green subway tile provide a soft palette for the room and create a smooth transition through the large kitchen window to the wooded backyard.
Warm Wood Floor – A new oak floor warms up the large open space.
Cook’s Kitchen – Professional appliances and ample storage solutions met the clients’ need for a place for everything.
Desk – A small desk area is used by the clients’ three young sons for homework.
Room Divider – A counter height bookshelf at the end of the island provides a visual divide between the kitchen and the casual dining area, and a place for cookbooks and display.
