Hello, here is an example of the dominant fabric I am using....Teal, Red, and Pinks are dominant.

If it's folksy, perhaps the light green color of the squares in the fabric.

I was thinking a brownish gray or golden would be nice. The wall with the window would be a nice accent wall I think or the wall where beds are .

I agree with collettec likewise with the gold walls you can frame fabric designs (mini quilts so to speak 《groups of 3 or 5》) in Complementing and Contrasting shades to add drama and depth, thus keeping the cost Manageable and having the Ability to make huge color pops which are Easily changed as you girls grow and Interests mature.

Another idea : The room appears large. Use a soft teal green at the bottom whicj would set your dark furniture off and a softer pink in the same family as the pink in your quilt for the top half on the room. Then add all the other colors in yours quilt. Take the swatch you photographed to the paint store with you and bring home swathes.

The other colors in your quilt can be accents.

Then you could use the girls hsnd print and feet prints for your border by using another of the colors in your chair rail border. I would use the handprints of one child and the foot prints of the other child. You can even chose separate colors for each girl. Always get your chips first and use the chips to visualize your outcome.
