gabymont's Ideas
You can bring warmth into a kitchen even if you prefer to eschew both wood and overtly warm colors in favor of a contemporary favorite like gray. “Gray is very popular right now, but one mistake that homeowners do is paint the wrong gray,” Hsieh says. “Usually I would choose a warm gray, closer to a brown tone than the cooler gray tones.”
Clear requests: a writing desk and storage space for books, a large bed with pillows, and a scheme that was neither dark nor pink. Besides these grown-up ideas, she came up with another one — it would be cool to be able to write on the walls! The designers took the teenager’s dreams and turned them into reality, transforming the room in about three months. The space became minimalist and functional. The main feature is a plywood structure containing a large bed and numerous shelves and drawers. This freed up the rest of the room, which now appears large and bright.

Make the most of a staircase. Staircases are often missed opportunities for design moments. If you’re a book lover, you can never find too much storage space for your favorite titles. By using a thick wall strategy, these designers created an area partway up the staircase that makes people stop and peruse the books.

I like the ceiling painted in a pretty sky blue and the walls in a nice hue of sand, very calming and inviting.
The paint in the ceiling with a deeper teal with gray walls and floor.
Start with a baby step. I love the idea of painting a small passageway in a rich, warm hue, like the raspberry shown here. Another baby step could be painting bookshelves — either the entire bookcase or just behind the shelves — to bring some oomph to the living room.
Love the design of the handrail.

Countertop appliance garage. Only if it has enough countertop space so all the small appliances can be used right where they are.
