Kitchen mixer - how to conceal - Is there hardware for pulling down a mixer from above?
It occurs to me that, if there are overhead cabinets forming a corner, perhaps the mixer could be located in that empty space (Instead of having a dead-end or lazy-susan in that space), and the mixer could be pulled down for use and hide the rest of the time.
Obviously, there would need to be enough square footage, not just the ~12x12 in. that cabinets would normally have as overlap.
So is there such a mechanism? »
Doors don't always have to go out; they can go up too. The ultimate in innovation is right here: a slide-out shelf behind a pull-up cabinet door. (Click the photo to see the full image.) Keep unsightly small appliances (blender, mixer) stashed neatly but still accessible.
