These pillows remind me of a modern day version of these crazy afghans everyone in my family seemed to have - you know the ones made up of little squares in bright colors? It's a fun touch that gives this room a lot of personality.

Note how the beam has an H-shaped section, but the columns are circular. Most steel beams use this section because it's most efficient in terms of material use, but columns can more readily vary in their shape.
