Crisp Architects The floor is a solid oak wood floor with a clear finish. The molding and trim are from Spiegel Woodwoking out of Kingston, NY. The crown molding model number is #SAW318 and the trim model number is #IL228.

Crisp Architects Mineral Oil is a great product to use. Another suggestion is pure raw almond oil, walnut oil. or raw tung oil. Raw tung oil is obtained by pressing the seeds from the nut of a tung tree. When applied in many fine coats over wood, tung oil slowly cures to a satin "wetted wood" look with slight golden tint. It resists liquid water better than any other pure oil finish. Mineral oil, however is cheap, easy to find, and easy to apply. I think any of these choices will work fine, you should choose what will work for you.

Crisp Architects Although it appears this way, it is purely because of the photograph. Our photographer will edit and play with lighting to achieve the ideal shot, however as a result, the colors can appear different than they actually are. Keep this in mind when you find paint colors on Houzz and always order samples before hand to see how the color will look on your walls. Hope this helps. If you want something closer to what the picture looks like, I would suggest Benjamin Moore Forest Hills Green.

Blue Bird Wonderful! Thank you so much for your feedback. I love the idea of painted bead board above the counter tops as it adds some interest and texture without overwhelming my small kitchen. I have seen a Navajo White paint by Olympic but will check out BM paints to compare. Thanks again!

Art Palette Hello Ms McCauley, before you decide completely about back splash, may I request you check some of the designs shown on http://www.artpalette.net . Even if your kitchen is small, something small behind the counter top, like a basket of fresh herbs or such can be designed for you. Please let me know your thoughts if you are ready to discuss. rosecottagehome Thanks michigammemom. You know, right after I posted my question I saw that very picture you referred to, and I agree totally with your comment. The cabinet colour I have chosen is not cream in any way, just an off white, but I think I will do stainless just to add contrast and try to compliment the cupboards.

Ahhh I love the idea of a warm olivey green in a kitchen. It hugs "warmth" to me. Love the glass white cabinets. You could either go blue, red, or even yellow accents... Love the warm light wood counter tops also.

This design I believe would work with a slightly wider entrance to kitchen.The design of this kitchen allows views to garden and can maximise open cupboards and bench space around the entrance.For informal dining, perhaps eliminate the right block of shelving for a nook for dining. The location of the fire place is perfect with the shelving and storage underneath. Exit to alfresco being on right. I would like a little more seclusion in the kitchen.
