By replumbing this old and leaky salvaged bathtub, as well as giving a thorough makeover to the room, transforming the modular shower into a fabulous new custom shower with skylight, a new built-in and integrated wainscoting, a new window and fresh paint this bathroom now elegantly serves all the clients bathing needs. clarkfarms1897 Hi Becky - do you know what tub faucet they used for this project? We have an old farmhouse bathroom project and this one would work perfectly! Thanks!
Faucet Brand - Hi there - can you tell me the faucet brand and style? We are doing a bathroom renovation in an old farmhouse and this would fit perfectly!
Thanks! »
Over the staircase was what Smith described as "a musty old bathroom."This salvaged clawfoot tub was repaired and replumbed, and it's a perfect fit underneath the slanted roofline. Smith integrated another built-in bookshelf for storage and added a new window. A vintage ladder of the client's serves as an antique towel rack.
4. Take a family outing to the salvage yard. There are many treasures to be found at a salvage yard. Some of my favorites are the rows and rows of old claw-foot bathtubs. If you're currently building a home and looking to add some character, a vintage claw-foot tub might be your ticket. I bet the kids would love to splash around in the one pictured here.More ways to work with salvage finds
A claw-foot tub is the quintessential pick for a farmhouse bathroom. Warm, comfy touches like beadboard wainscoting and built-in details finish the look.
