Accent Wall in Home Office
Debbie Slovin
I was hired to work with this couple on a new home. A standard home was built and the work came in customizing it afterward. Custom built-ins were added in the great room. Custom wainscoting was designed for the entry foyer and office. Window treatments, light fixtures, fans, paint and back splash were selected.
The owners wanted a comfortable, casual home blending existing pieces with new to create a coastal feel.

To block out beaming sunlight from this home office, Blinds.com Signature Light Filtering Honeycomb Shades were chosen for window coverings. These shades not only prevent light from being in these home owners' eyes while working, but also insulate the room helping it cool down on those bright and hot sunny days.

Light emanates from behind the hidden storage cabinetry and the salt water aquarium. The carpet reverberates the shape of the peninsular desk.

The kitchen, living room, and office area underwent a complete renovation to create a modern farmhouse-inspired, warm and welcoming space.
The first step was the removal of the wall between the kitchen and dining room to open up the space, creating a seamless flow between the kitchen and the dining room. The newly designed kitchen features a slate tile chimney as the focal and a large peninsula that doubles as a dining area.
The living room has a bright and airy feel.
Blues, whites, and neutrals are used throughout the space to create a cohesive and calming atmosphere.
The office area features a custom-built desk and bookshelves, providing ample space for work and storage.
The result is a beautiful, functional, and inviting space.

Patio Lane
Lindsay saw the potential in a vintage rattan settee that was in poor condition. She cleaned and stained the frame, and topped it off with a custom Patio Lane cushion using Silver State Sunbrella fabric. Now it is a real beauty at home in her colorful and busy clay studio!

A custom work peninsula was configured around a section of roof that protruded into the previous attic storage space. A black countertop covers the top, making it the perfect place to stretch and prepare canvases, cut paper, or just check to make sure something is straight with the T-square.

This client wanted a fresh start, taking only minimal items from her old house when she moved. We gave the kitchen and half bath a facelift, and then decorated the rest of the house with all new furniture and decor, while incorporating her unique and funky art and family pieces. The result is a house filled with fun and unexpected surprises, one of our favorites to date!

House of a Different Color
Home office design. Previously a blank slate room: beige carpet and walls. Used client's existing desk and repurposed her antique lingerie chest for office supply storage. About half of the wall art was already owned by the client, but we reframed some pieces and added some. Picked up the rug, corner chair, side table, lamp, and small decor pieces from auctions and estate sales for pennies on the dollar. Client painted the accent wall herself, to save costs. Flooring was done in LVP as a whole-home re-flooring job at the start of the condo renovation, during which all flooring throughout the home was replaced with LVP except in bedrooms. Cost for materials, furniture, and decor purchased for this room was under $750; with flooring cost for this space added, it would be approximately $2,000 all in.
