We kept the clients' formal living room, bright, airy and comfortable with a mix of sleek modern pieces to balance the cottage feel of the pitched beamed ceiling and original fireplace. Warmer, antique and vintage elements were introduced to add sophistication and depth of texture and color.

This bright family room has as its focal point a gas fireplace with handmade tile in beautiful colors that are rich in variation. The back of this 1920s brick and siding Cape Cod gets a compact addition to create a new Family room, open Kitchen, Covered Entry, and Master Bedroom Suite above. European-styling of the interior was a consideration throughout the design process, as well as with the materials and finishes. Situated in Denton, Texas these clients sought a personalized home from the ground up. It was important that their eclectic style be evidenced in every facet of the home to reflect their lively personalities. The project scope encompassed the dining, kitchen, breakfast nook, living, master bedroom, and master bathroom. Color, fixtures, furnishings, materials, artwork, and accessories were carefully selected to reflect a collective atmosphere and communicate the common theme of vibrancy. One significant challenge was the husband's fear of color. While he has an outgoing personality he did not want the home to feel loud and obnoxious. Putting him at ease was accomplished by presenting a comprehensive design plan with samples laid out so that he gained a clear understanding of how the home would flow together in harmony. Here is a great example of mixing modern flair in with a whimsical feel to give you an eclectic design. The main sofa boasts classic modern lines while the patterned drapes have a fun natural pattern. The antiqued starburst mirror and chandelier have a traditional glam feel and the side table and lamp are contemporary. Four different styles mixed to give you one eclectic design.

The New Groovy! A renovation of a 1960's pyramid on the California coast. A petrified stone table and tie dyed pillows add to the 60's vibe. The sectional is custom designed to fit the unusual space, while providing ample seating.
