Great talent! Do what suits you and think about a feature/focal space - and allow the eye a place to rest.

Don't buy that quilt. The walls are busy so the quilts need to be plain.

Is the closet well organized? How about hiring a closet company to make the most use of that space, and installing this storage inside the cabinet. The entry is so small, I would opt for a large vertically long piece of artwork opposite the door to make it seem more open. If this is a possibility it is your best.

HI -- I would get some upholstered storage benches to hold the stuff and they also serve as seating . If you don't really use the stools at the counter then that space could have a cabinet under the counter overhang or another storage ottoman . How about a longer colorful rug runner ! Also make sure the closet is equipped for better storage . And maybe an other color or wallpaper , just in that entrance area .. something warmer or a little darker than your wall color ,just to make it look separate from the kitchen .

Find an inspiration item. New bedding is a good start. Draw colors and styles from that item or bedding and refer to them when purchasing furniture and selecting paint.

I would build in shelving and cabinets to the right and left of the fireplace. Resist the temptation to mount the television above the fireplace always! The first comment on this thread was right on with photos.

cajunsma, don't remove the fireplace and don't put a tv above it. I think your best option for the tv is to the right of the fireplace as shown in the photos. Looks like a nice room...love the French doors.

Not to worry. The fireplace will stay and the television will go to the right of the fireplace. The bedrooms and bathrooms will be easy. This room will be more difficult for me because the kitchen and fireplace are pushing me in a direction which really me. Don't get me wrong, I really like the kitchen but my decorating style leans more towards rustic. That kitchen is all but rustic unfortunately. I'm not too keen on granite either and I know that granite has been dyed. The cupboards are cheap so it just dust ands to reason the granite is.

Overall, I still love the little house and can't wait to make it mind. :D

This is totally a personal preference. You should embrace your need to change things up and change your table top regularly to your liking. Creative people find it is never done. Creativity is an ever moving evolution. It is never done. Evolve when it feels right.

I also think the display case and the artwork are fighting with one another. I would move the triptych to another wall. On top of the display case a tall lamp and graduate the accessories in the middle and perhaps something sculptural on the other side for balance - mid level high.

Maybe skip the chair an put a rug in front of the unit to give it the featured attention it deserves...if seating is needed maybe some form of a simple, even primitive wood bench in front

A good way to finish off this space is to move the new chair in and then work on smaller things. Rooms can fill up quickly and you can spend money on things that are not really needed.

I agree that the blank wall space above the wicker trunk feels a little empty now, and this can be addressed next. Live with it a short while and see what you think.

It will be a challenge to figure out what to put there, if you need something there. A different art piece, a mirror, a lamp on the wicker trunk, - too much, borderline clutter. If you do too much on this wall, you should really remove some pillows, vases, etc. You are almost at the accessory saturation point now.

The suggestions I would have would be another silk plant, tall enough to go 1' - 2' above the chair rail and one that would be sort of shaped like the one in the corner, or hang a simple white/cream mobile above the wicker that would hang down half way to the chair rail.

Thanks for your question. The windows have alternative window treatments (pleated shades) via inside mount that you can't see in the photo. And yes, this was also a decision we made for the aesthetics and interest of the focal point bed wall.
