The 1926 Campus Plot Committee members are extremely happy with our decision to use the services of Mr. Patrick Zampetti, RA, LEED AP, NCARB of Studio Z Architecture, Inc., and can’t say enough about his design abilities and creative input with creating the plans for our fraternity Greek plot on the campus of Virginia State University. Patrick and his staff were very professional with communication during the planning process and was wonderful at returning phone calls and emails. I can’t say enough about his customer service and attention to detail in his help with the project. I’ve dealt with a lot of architects in my career as a construction management professional---I realize more and more how lucky we were to have found Patrick, not only for his creative and design abilities, but also for the amount of caring and soul he was willing to put into our project. Throughout the process, Patrick was highly professional, diligent in his work, and accommodating with our schedules, requests, and questions. We feel that through his knowledge, skill and vision he helped create a remarkable fraternity campus plot for the college & alumni members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Beta Gamma chapter will truly enjoy. As a contractor, I have worked with Patrick on a few projects. Patrick is courteous, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented. The residential and commercial designs and architecture I have used/reviewed are well-thought out, and clearly cover the scope his client's are envisioning. From a usability/"flow" perspective, it is important to use space wisely, and that implemented code-required elements are integral (rather than noticeable)--an important skill in which Patrick excels--while including the design features for an outstanding end-user product.

Everything about StudioZ impressed us right from the beginning of our project. Our goal was to down size into a smaller, attractive, highly functional space. Because we began during the pandemic, we were concerned for delays. Patrick's technological expertise made meetings simple and frequent. Our questions were addressed immediately, we were able to examine every detail as changes were requested. Studio Z is amazingly easy to work with and exceptional at what they do .

I had a fantastic experience working with Patrick Zampetti and Studio Z. They designed our dream home, including adaptations for solar, geothermal and other energy efficient features. The design perfectly met the unique needs of our family, integrating the home into a large country lot with a pond. Pat was prompt, efficient and knowledgeable. Years ago he designed a 3 season room for our current house, and I couldn't imagine working with anyone else.

LHC Services

We hired Studio Z twice, once to design a garage and once when our house burnt down and we had to rebuild. Both times they did excellent work and made us feel like a customer and not a number. Emails were always answered promptly and phone calls returned. The drawings and renderings were always approved by the inspection office. We will definitely hire them again!

Studio Z has done several projects for me. They designed an addition to my home in 2007, my vacation home on the Piankatank River in Middlesex county (2009), and a new home in Henrico county 2013 . Patrick listens and is responsive to the clients needs. He is available to discuss any design/construction concerns with the builder, landscape architects or any other design professionals involved in a project. Studio Z has my highest recommendation.

Mr. Zampetti was outstanding in his vision for achieving our goals. He equally valued, function, form and my opinion to create a solution for a 1972 ranch home with small/choppy feel and limited curb presence to a wonderful home that functions beautifully for a modern on-the-go family with 2 small children. When budget became a factor with the builders' quotes, he went to the drawing board to help us realize our vision in a less expensive way--guiding and advising us through what changes would have the greatest impact on our lifestyle and help us get through our busy lives with a great importance on our family time. Use him...You won't be disappointed. PS. We still have to add landscaping so I hope to update this with pictures later this Spring.
