My work is a blend of traditional and modern with colorful, earthy elements and special attention to detail and quality resulting in typically high end, custom results. I believe we are all strongly affected by our surroundings whether we are aware of it or not, and the success of each designed space strongly affects one’s happiness, productivity, and sense of fulfillment. I received my B.S. in Textile Science and my M.A. in Applied Design from the University of Minnesota. My thesis focus was “Integrative Interruptions in Color Relationships.”

My interior design work reflects the importance of creating a designed environment which truly functions to meet the personal needs of each client whether that be incorporating Grandma's turquoise vase into the living room plan, or intermingling two very different styles into a successful design. In fact, I relish the opportunity and challenge to integrate unlike design elements within an environment creating balance and continuity with a touch of interruption!!

How did I become passionate about design? Growing up, my mother had many interior design and fashion magazines scattered around the house. I spent countless hours perusing through these periodicals. Little did I know then, that I was absorbing furniture and accessory placement, color synthesis, texture, line and how they all came together to form a unified and fabulous look. My mother never pursued interior design on a professional basis, but spent many days, with me by her side, arranging, rearranging, adding, and subtracting components in the rooms in her home. I observed and observed. My reason for studying design arose from this constant curiosity about the integrative process that occurs between human-made objects, our natural surroundings, and the needs of each individual.

I look forward to your comments and questions on any possible upcoming projects you may be considering. I am committed to putting forth every effort needed to make sure this project, and our working relationship, is successful!

Happy Designing!!!
