Ol' Steve
what if the trusses can't be completely wrapped to create a vaulted look.... can only the bottom of the trusses be wrapped? The beams would be only going east/west but it may add a few inches of ceiling height in between the trusses. It may prove to be a drywall nightmare. ooooh scary for you maybe?
How about we build a shed dormer on that back side of the home in such a way that it is not seen at all. Thus may allow even height to create a very small loft big enough for a bed and end tables only. The existing bedroom can be a walk in closet and master bath suite that may have a low ceiling in areas but those areas would be for closet railings, drawers, linens and short stair well to the loft. Architect Steve is going crazy!
there it is... storage! a full wall of cabinets. brilliant! also I didn't mention it in another picture where the kitchen cabinet used glass of some kind. I like how it is reflective and if we had sky lights it may add to the overall collection of natural light. I would want straight glass. I would prefer it add an eclectic feel and character to the kitchen
I like the tile and color pallette. I love the idea of a big table as the island. Unfortunately it takes away from storage. Find me a way Jake Please!
I wonder if our big window in the master bedroom can be changed to french doors with a very small faux balcony. This could provide more natural light and in the summer provide a feeling of island living. yeah baby.
I like the cool white and the splash for warm wood to tie into the rest of the home. This tub makes me wonder if there is a big square tub that you could step in to with a shower head that is enclosed with clean clear glass. And if big enough perhaps there is an opening furtherest from the shower head that has no glass to step in. This way we can have a shower and bath in the master suite.
I like the white tile to lighten up the kitchen and yet also have the warm natural wood. The other picture of this kitchen in this ideabook shows the tile is used a lot and the wood cabinets are sparing.
Cool island to tie in craftsman into the kitchen
potential look if the trusses can be wrapped. However because the trusses may be so close to each other it may be too busy.
I like the color pallette however it requires natural light.
nice color pallette all around.
Another example of very subtle craftsman and comtemporary stain glass to give the home a sense of authenticity, charm and high-end finishes
I like the cabinets, don't really think the color pallette is good here. Floors are too honey oak.
I kinda like the island having an open area to give the room an appearance of more space.
If we can vault ceilings and wrap trusses, I like the little skylight. From a decorative perspective of like the tree branch plan coming from a elegent vase up into the vaulted area.
I like the timeless subway tiles. I wouldn't mind sprinkling a little custom design Arts and Crafts tile in the mix to add color and character. I'll try to find something like what I'm thinking.
I like the Arts and Crafts design above the fireplace that is also contemporary. Again, this may be a great way to tie the two styles together.
I really like the use of furniture as a fixture for bathroom sinks. Feels like is makes the room bigger as it doesn't go all the way to the floor and it adds character.
A very small touch of color through a contemporary stain glass would really tie in Craftsman style from the outside into a more contemporary design style inside
Cool way to add Arts & Craft style elements to a bathroom or laundry room
Dig that size window out for the extra bedroom downstairs in the current storage room. Gettnig crazy now time for bed.
