Outside of this room, what materials are used on the entry floor? - Is the porch/stoop/landing area outside of this room brick also? Is it ok to have brick transition to stone or vice versa or should there be a continuity of materials? Thanks »
Brick Floor - Do you know what color grout was used and also the type of sealant? We are currently laying Old George Town herringbone patterned brick and would love to match this. Thanks! »
Crisp Architects I apologize, I unfortunately do not know the exact type of sealant or grout used, my advice would be to show the picture to your contractor and see what he thinks.
Crisp Architects Thanks so much for the compliment! Unfortunately, the wallpaper here was chosen by the client and we have no information on it. I apologize, if I can find that info I will let you know as soon as possible. In the mean time, here are the links to two websites that you may be able to find something similar on. Hope this helps!
Crisp Architects Thanks for your inquiry! I have looked back at the plans and found that each compartment is 2'-1,5" wide. The top portion height is 4'-8.5" with a 3.75" casing at the top and the bottom portion height from underneath the drawer to the floor is 1'-6". The drawer is 7.75".
Integrating a mudroom into your home is a must nowadays if you have the space — especially if you have children. A cubby and some hooks for every member of the family gives everyone a place to stash the things they take in and out of the house on a daily basis. Use color and pattern in this area so you aren't sacrificing pretty for practical. The two can coexist!
Cubbies need to be a little deeper. Like the drawers above the shoes.
Needs a separate tall set of drawers for mittens / hats, tall cupboard for sports stuff / brooms, bench. If space allows, stuff on top for off-season clothes
