Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer The name I've seen most often used for this stone is VITORIA REGIA. I've also seen it called Safari Green, and I've been told that it is as much serpentine as granite. (This can matter in that serpentine is a bit softer than granite, and softer materials don't hold a shine the same as harder materials.) It's true, it is one of the most beautiful materials I've seen, and "reads" a lot like marble.
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Sorry Jessritz, we find paint colors hard to share with others. We always custom mix them, starting usually with one or two colors and then adjusting them onsite as needed. Onsite lighting, window quantity and direction, and the reflections from the different surfaces are all elements that influence the final color selection. And, interestingly in the case of this kitchen, our staff did not agree with the intensity of the yellow in this kitchen. Although the homeowner and the contractor both liked it, most of the design staff would have preferred something more neutral. In the end, of course, we're glad that the clients are happy, and we're glad that you like it, too.
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Sorry it's taken me so long to get you an answer to your question. Tanetyler is right, this backsplash is "Vihara" Jade by Sonoma Tilemakers in the iridescent finish. (It also comes in a "Silk" finish, which is honed rather than polished.) It's a glass tile that comes in several colorways. You can find it online on Sonoma Tilemakers' website.
