Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Hi Rcpeden, the name I've seen most often used for this stone is VITORIA REGIA. I've also seen it called Safari Green, and I've been told that it is as much serpentine as granite. (This can matter in that serpentine is a bit softer than granite, and softer materials don't hold a shine the same as harder materials.) It's true, it is one of the most beautiful materials I've seen, and "reads" a lot like marble.
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer hi cynpez,
Thanks for your question. I love these pulls, too. They are from a company called Atlas Homewares, the "Spa" collection; the finishes are Chrome with blue glass. They also come in brushed nickel, and the glass is available in green as well .
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Hi lisejhall- I will go ahead reprint the info that I posted on the tile manufacturer last year: (I don't know if you know that you can check the designer's website for previously posted questions and answers that may answer your question already.) "This is Sonoma Tilemaker's Viatara glass line, in the "Jade" colorway. If you look at Sonoma's website, you will see that there are 2 finishes for this line, a soft, honed finish and a glossy iridescent finish. We used the glossy finish in this kitchen.
We're toward the end of a total kitchen remodel. Our cabinets (offwhite with bronze glaze), granite (cream background with lots of rich red and brown running through) and porcelain tile floor (dark, rich brown) are in and now we're trying to pick a backsplash. Having a hard time with all the choices. Any adivice on how to choose material, look, color, etc? Trying to pull it all together... »
Rebekah Zaveloff Picking a tile backsplash that has elements or color from the stone or cabinets helps to make a decision often times. Is your space traditional?
Design Moe Kitchen & Bath / Heather Moe designer Sorry it's taken me so long to get you an answer to your question. This is "Vihara" by Sonoma Tilemakers in the iridescent finish. (It also comes in a "Silk" finish, which is honed rather than polished.) It's a glass tile that comes in several colorways. You can find it online on Sonoma Tilemakers' website.
