jennabeau Thanks for the quick reply! Are the handles ORB? Is there another chandelier hanging in the house nearby the kitchen and, if so, what finish is it?
Hugh Jefferson Randolph Architects YES!! Most definitely. It saves space and adds a lot of character to the kitchen. Make sure you have the space around te table for chairs of course. But it's a great move.

This island looks like a table that's had its legs extended 6". This table-like island has no shelving or storage below but is mixed with counter-height, backless stools and two pendants overhead.
Tip: Standard table height is 30"-32", standard counter height is 36". Bar height is 39"-42".
Streamline your kitchen. Updating appliances looks good, lowers use of resources and saves money! In fact, renovating kitchen functionality makes for the greatest return of investment in a home. Not to mention that you can cook with more efficiency and joy when things are updated and organized.
The shiny brass pendants in this kitchen take center stage — yet they're not loud. The shape of the lights feels vintage, and the brass is a lovely little bit of shine in all the black and white of the space.
Play up your home's strengths. That said, it does pay to emphasize what is so great about your home specifically. Why should someone choose it over another in the same area? If you have a particularly spacious or recently remodeled kitchen, be sure to describe its features in detail and take good pictures in natural light.
