This elegant French Country Masterbath project was designed and created for a client from 6 years ago. 6 years ago, Karen & Dan used us solely for window treatments. This time is was to refresh and redo 4 bathrooms in their home on as reasonably priced a budget as possible. Why? They know they are likely moving in 3-5 years, but want to sell at a great price. Every bathroom was redesigned with careful focus on style and budget. The Masterbath was a completely gut, but reasonably priced cabinets, tub and tile were used throughout. All other bathrooms just had certain aspects changed with the most costly reno areas staying untouched. You’d be pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the budget was for everything…give us a call to find out!

Add texture to a shower tile installation by changing size and shape of the field tile. Add a natural texture with a micro pebble tile shower floor. A tiled recessed niche is the perfect spot for shower storage.

Shower niches are another one of my signature design details for a bathroom. They eliminate unsightly shower caddies and keep necessities well organized. I also added a set of steam shower controls next to the niche and above the bench, so my client can control the steam setting while seated. Photo by Jeff Mateer

Once upon a time, this bathroom featured the following: No entry door, with a master tub and vanities open to the master bedroom. Fading, outdated, 80's-style yellow oak cabinetry. A bulky hexagonal window with clear glass. No privacy. A carpeted floor. In a bathroom. It’s safe to say that none of these features were appreciated by our clients. Understandably. We knew we could help. ​ We changed the layout. The tub and the double shower are now enclosed behind frameless glass, a very practical and beautiful arrangement. The clean linear grain cabinetry in medium tone is accented beautifully by white countertops and stainless steel accessories. New lights, beautiful tile and glass mosaic bring this space into the 21st century. End result: a calm, light, modern bathroom for our client to enjoy.

Client wanted to use the guest bathroom, so we made it into a steam shower!

Previously the tall set of open storage was a linen closet. Due to the door swings of the linen closet and main entrance to the bathroom, we removed the closet and extended the cabinetry down into that space. Now they have an open shelving system that is perfect for their daily needs. Coast to Coast Design, LLC
