Jennifer A. Emmer/Feng Shui Style
This was a small garden that we Feng Shui'ed and completely redesigned. The theme was a xeriscape - with drought tolerant, native species to California. Jennifer designed the Feng Shui aspects of the garden, and Briana Lyon provided the horticultural knowledge. We also designed their atrium to be an indoor/outdoor space with plants, and seating areas.
Our clients (and their dog) love the finished product. Now they have strawberries, and artichokes coming straight from the garden. They also get a fair amount of hummingbirds visiting their fountain. This is an eclectic space, which colorfully pumps up the Feng Shui of the homeowners, while giving them a zen place to relax.
Taylor Made Custom Contracting Inc.
Our client was in search of a space where she could relax, read, and meditate. She chose a non-tradtional approach and decided to transform her existing backyard shed into a space that she could call her own. With her artistic flare in mind, we built a living area complete with vaulted ceilings, shelving, painted floors, faux fireplace mantle, and lighting. Her eclectic decor is cozy, calming and very much feminine- which is exactly was she had in mind.

The primary considerations for this project were to offer color and textural interest to the street-side view while reducing maintenance and water use. The majority of the plants fall into the are low-growing to create the illusion of more space, and form a tapestry of cheery bright green hues.

Just in Thyme Landscape Design
This very small water feature blends into the natural, woodland environment of this small townhouse yard. Yet it provides so much ambiance and relaxation while the pleasant sound of the water drowns out the traffic noise nearby. The water recirculates and is stored underground thus keeping evaporation, bug, & algae problems away.

Grevillea 'Long John' will grow to about 15 feet high by 6 feet wide, "plugging" the view of the street from within the property, while also serving as a curious focal point from the street. A mix of Yellow and Pink Kangaroo Paw plants bring harmony and contrast in the mid-view.
