Complete with a standing shower, the room successfully incorporates elements of various styles toward a harmonious end. The vanity was a cabinet from Arhaus Furniture that was used for a store staging. Raymond and Jennifer purchased the marble top and put it on themselves. Jennifer had the lighting made by a husband-and-wife team that she found on Instagram. "Because social media is a great tool, it is also helpful to support small businesses. With just a little hash tagging and the right people to follow, you can find the most amazing things," she says. The shower is completely wrapped in various sizes of nova blue limestone tile. (Yes, the light is vapor proof!) You can barely see the linear drain I designed at the shower floor so we could use large format tiles.

This new bathroom incorporates an antique marble sink and vanity with legs that we chrome plated. We utilized reclaimed antique leaded windows to create cabinet doors. The dark brown "accent" ceiling mimics the floor color and adds drama and interest. The antique carved wood mirror is flanked by contemporary chrome sconces topped with more traditional shades.. Another example of how we mix modern with traditional for a very chic bathroom.

If your bathroom has low ceilings try to pick patterns with cool colour backgrounds like greens and blues. For colder environments you want colours that make the room feel warmer, these colours are oranges, yellows and reds. In regards to the type of wallpaper suitable for bathrooms usually vinyl wallpaper is the best option. This material is resistant to water and water vapour making it appropriate for kitchens and bathrooms. Wallpaper can make so much difference in a room, from creative patterns, smooth surfaces and a huge variety of colour you are sure to find a wallpaper that suits your individual flair and character.

My homeowner loves this porthole mirrored medicine cabinet and I agreed that it's really quite perfect in this place. Stone tile wainscoting with cedar-planked walls above make this bath feel very "boat-like."
