The front portion of this traditional colonial-style home was given a facelift to blend with the contemporary addition in the rear of the home. A new paint scheme, sanded and refinished hardwood floors, and a fireplace facelift make this living room look brand new. Perched high above Nauset beach this 4 bedroom shingle style cottage is truly a little “jewel box”. The exterior finish is durable and beautiful red cedar with copper flashing. The double sided fireplace (living room and screen porch) was constructed from reclaimed antique bricks. The interior spaces are modest and cozy with a wonderful eclectic blend of furnishings and finishes personally selected by the owners. One of my very favorite projects.

These Metro Detroit clients were interested in creating a first floor that offered the amenities and convenience they would appreciate in their golden years. The scope of the project included a well planned design of wider hallways and curb-less shower entry. The project even included a built in coffee bar! Spacious living addition features fireplace with upgraded custom molding flanked by built-in benches that offer additional seating and storage.

This room is the Media Room in the 2016 Junior League Shophouse. This space is intended for a family meeting space where a multi generation family could gather. The idea is that the kids could be playing video games while their grandparents are relaxing and reading the paper by the fire and their parents could be enjoying a cup of coffee while skimming their emails.
