Custom home wine cellar as featured in November 2010 edition of Wine Spectator Magazine This Walk in Custom Wine Cellar was featured in The Wine Spectator Magazine on November 30, 2010, in the "Bigger is Better" issue covering custom wine cellars. This beautiful showcase of a wine cellar has multiple rooms, with one wine room as well as a separate area for gathering and socializing with friends. The racking is all heart redwood, with many features throughout such as arches over mirrors and a custom archway, marble counter tops, tiered racking, bin storage, large format bottle storage, horizontal displays and more. This minimalist acrylic wine cellar is located in an exclusive East Hampton residence. The homeowner and architect wanted help creating a cellar that would make the wine bottles appear to float in the air. Architectural Plastics was contracted to design and build the wine cellar racks. By using a combination of clear acrylic wine racks and light from LED back panels, the bottles do appear to simply float in the air.

This unique custom wine cellar was installed in the La Costa / San Elijo Hills area in San Diego. Offset a few miles from the beach, this gorgeous area has the advantage of a constant sea breeze, keeping the surrounding microclimate some ten plus degrees cooler than just over the hill a bit further inland. This sleek and contemporary looking furniture piece, nestled up against the far wall within the temperature and humidity controlled wine room, acts as the main focus within the space. This style of racking fitted into the wine cabinet is the vintage view wall series. The wine cabinet also includes space for grouped bottles as well as wine case storage. The client's idea for the space was to have a gorgeous showpiece wall of wines, coupled with a small and intimate area to enjoy the bottles with friends. The small open space centered between the racking in this large wine cellar can also be utilized as a perfect spot to decant wine. This wine room is made of three glass walls and custom lucite wine racks. The back wall features a backlighted led panel made from white acrylic. The countertops feater onyx that is backlight with a waterfall edge.

After knocking down a dining room wall and opening up a storage closet in the garage, I designed an 80 sqft wine room. With stacked stone walls, a pebble floor, a crystal chandelier, custom sliding barn door, and enough storage to hold over 600 bottles of wine, this wine room has it all.

An ultra-modern wine room in one of Portland's most desired zip codes. Custom-built acrylic shelving in this walk-in wine room creates the dramatic appearance of 600 bottles of wine floating in mid-air. Lighting effects add to the futuristic vibe and establish a luxurious aesthetic that links the walk-in wine cellar to the exterior bar and shelves. Bridging the two spaces, a floor-to-ceiling steel ledge bottle display and a chic sitting area create the perfect alcove for sipping that La Landonne.
