This multi-story home perched on a cliff overlooking Lake Travis was a get-away home for a repeat client in Houston. The client wanted a fun and relaxing retreat with the lake views being the focal point. Warm woods, metals, and fabrics with bright and organic colors were used to create a comfortable, transitional feel. In the game room, a tabletop arcade, popcorn machine and game table bring the “fun” indoors after a long day on the lake.

Hall bath. Custom cabinet with heavy gage copper top. Trim applied to cabinet in pattern that mimics floor also makes doors appear concealed. Skylight well in ceiling was originally open. These homeowners approached us with their design in mind which we were able to tweak for improved utilization of space. Their master bath was dated and required complete demolition to the studs, where we found some hidden space that we were able to use in the shower. By eliminating the tub, we were able to use that space for a large shower with custom handmade tile in a creative pattern utilizing mosaic, hexagon and accent tiles, and radiant floor heat was added to the bathroom floor for added comfort. By relocating the stool room, we were able to provide a custom extra deep linen cabinet for additional storage. His and Hers custom vanity’s in a painted Alpine finish with chocolate glaze and Cambria Windermere countertops book end the spacious shower, complete with a floating bench and niche for toiletries. Champagne Bronze plumbing fixtures and Visual Comfort sconces complement the geometric wallpaper and decorative beveled mirrors complete the eye-catching bathroom.

This single-story golf course home encompasses four bedrooms, five full/two half bathrooms, chef’s kitchen, library, theater/media room, covered loggia with alfresco kitchen, swimming pool with spa and three-car air-conditioned garage. Transitional archways, coffered ceilings, crown moldings, wainscoting details, custom built-ins, meticulous floor plan design and rich materials of marble, stone and hardwood make this home spectacular. The home greets with its curved entry, marble foyer and gallery which unfolds onto the living room with stone fireplace and Brazilian cherry hardwood flooring. Also featured are a theater/media room, formal dining room, 700-bottle, climate-controlled wine room and gourmet kitchen with vaulted cypress ceiling. A family room with bay windows and French doors leads to the covered loggia with summer kitchen and dining area. The master wing includes a separate sitting room, walk-in wardrobes, morning bar and separate his and her bathrooms with volume ceilings, built-in vanities, freestanding pedestal soaking tub and huge glazed showers. The home is perfectly appointed and another example of Marc Julien Homes’ commitment to perfection.

Master bathroom in Temecula CA, where we took the elegance of emparador dark marble and mixed it with the contemporary look of a glass pebble tile mosaic. The traditional look of a cream colored cabinet added the final touch to an exquisite bathroom. Wood look porcelain was used on the floor.
