This compact space allows for a lot of outdoor living options, without feeling too cramped. The homeowners really wanted a pool and spa, but didn't believe their yard was big enough. Not only did they get both by incorporating a spool, they also have plenty of room for seating and dining, lush landscaping, and a lawn where their child and dogs can play! Photo by Craig O'Neal

Pool - small modern backyard concrete paver and rectangular lap pool idea in Los Angeles

Located in the private Cypress Point neighborhood in Plano, this small backyard was transformed from a small garden area to an updated and modern outdoor living area. In addition to the new covered porch and fire place, we have added outdoor seating for chaise lounges, along with a modern plunge pool & spa with raised backdrop fountain feature. The project also features built-in seating, fountain spillways, decorative pool tile, step stones and all new landscaping to provide a lush, private retreat for the owners.

Elements include: curved water wall with potted plants on pedestals flanking a fire bowl. Spillway is stacked slate spillway, sheer descents, underwater tabletop, large tanning ledge, outdoor kitchen with The Green Egg, grill, storage space, refrigerator and a nice bar!
