TOShopper TOShopper Hi Mary (Butterfly 323) - would you be willing to email me the info on the pulls and knobs. These would be perfect for a kitchen project I'm currently on. Please send email to skatterktm@gmail.com. Thank you!

ljones22 The cabinets look very off-white/cream, yet the sage is obviously quite green in color. Which picture is more accurate to the actual color, the Houzz pics or the Crystal Cabinet website?
Kayron Brewer, CKD, CBD / Studio K B The sage color from Crystal is a very pale green color. It is difficult to tell in a photograph. The color on the Crystal website shows the sage sample, but unfortunately, shows it on a green background. So, that is deceiving. I would never rely on a computer screen to select a color. Every brand of screen can give a bit of a different version of a color. If you are interested in a pale green, I would suggest contacting your local Crystal dealer, and request an actual color sample.
crazyhen Thank you for granite ideas! Of course I love the look of marble but I hear it stains! Why do I see it everywhere in magazines and here as we'll??
Kayron Brewer, CKD, CBD / Studio K B I am seeing a lot of true quartzite stone and dolomite stone on the market. It is gorgeous more like marble and stronger like granite. Check your local markets for those options.

It is hard to say one particular sink is the "best". All types have their pros and cons. A heavy guage stainless steel is a great choice, although it can scratch. Fireclay sinks, as shown in the photo are very durable since they are a high-fired clay. You must use nonabrasive cleaners so they will not dull, and they can possibly chip with the right thing being dropped in them...think, cast iron skillet. I have found one fireclay that seems extremely durable for scratching. It is the Kallista fireclay undermount sink in Slate Black. I have also used natural stone sinks - carrara, travertine noce and soapstone. The stones are durable and "patina" over time with wear. The darker colors like the Travertine Noce are more forgiving against staining than the Carrara, which is a white marble. Drop a glass in a stone or fireclay sink and you will break the glass. Enameled steel, like what Kohler carries are also durable, but again, important to clean with a nonabrasive cleaner so not to dull the finish. One last one to check out that I have not used but familiar with is the Blanco Siligranite sinks....they seem very durable. Good luck in your search!

Bring it down to the counter. I love how this plate rack integrates into open shelves and an uber-functional storage wall where the cabinets sit on the countertop. It's a mixed-use storage wall that makes sense for a small section of countertop that won't be used for much prepping or tasking. The variety of door sizes and open-vs.-closed storage create much more visual interest than a bunch of cabinet doors that are all the same size.
Dark finishes are showing up all over the place this year in some interesting variations. There is a new dark chrome several manufacturers are offering, along with brown and black composites and the still popular oil-rubbed bronze.More:10 Elements of Today's State-of-the-Art KitchensFab Fixtures: The Wall-Mounted FaucetBronze: Ancient Metal With Modern Appeal
