Media Decor In this room, the vertical wood adds height to the ceiling, continuity with the ceiling, and beautifully creates the fireplace focal point. If the wood were horizontal on the wall, it simply would lose the impact.
FloorWerks Sorry, haven't had a lot free time to respond. Side walls of fireplace are 2/14" hardwood flooring. Fireplace tiles are a Metairie porcelain. Available through many different distributors. I prefer, "happy Floors" or Porcelainosa out of Spain. Key to the design is Arge format tiles. Any further questions please felecia fre to contact FloorWerks 847-222-0020

6. A little accent goes a long way. The fireplace in this room is such a beautiful piece with lovely patina creating subtly shifting tones. I like the small cluster of vases on the mantel. Just enough to give it a little punctuation.
If you are feeling an extra bit of love for wood paneling and want to push the limits of this application, extend it from the wall to the ceiling for one continuous swath of warm wood. It will feel super luxurious, especially in rooms with soaring ceiling heights.
6. Dark wood with a visible grain was a trend that we saw in almost every room in the house this year — particularly the living room. Houzz users gushed over the wall and ceiling paneling in this Southern California house. The brown tones of the simply designed furniture and bronze fireplace surround add an even warmer feeling to the space.
everything! The space is soothing - rich dark palette but filled with light from the wall of windows. Combination of hard and organic
( wood ) materials. Browns and greys - very elegant.
