Photo shows looking up through the Clerestory. Our company leaves the interior of our structures open and finished so as to see the beauty of the wood and the interesting expert craftsmanship. The two hanging pendants are hand blown glass and were made specifically for the Pavilion. The carved wood stars stream upward through the Clearstory from the two entrance alcoves. Zen entryway photo in San Diego

Behind this beautiful asian influenced stairwall, there is a very narrow flight of stairs going down to the garage. By adding a new wider flight of stairs above, leading to the sky-viewing room, we gained a 16" deep space for art and storage. The owner is an artist and this turned out to be the perfect place to display some of her art. We designed the stairs and had them custom built.

Inspiration for a large master gray tile and porcelain tile porcelain tile bathroom remodel in Miami with shaker cabinets, dark wood cabinets, a two-piece toilet, beige walls, an undermount sink and granite countertops

This structure is called a "machiai" in Japanese which translates as "waiting building". Traditionally, it is the place where tea ceremony participants wait before entering the tearoom. The machiai is framed with natural Alaskan yellow cedar timbers. The walls are surfaced with Japanese mud plaster and black colored rice paper. Layered cedar shingles make up the roof which is capped with traditional Japanese ceramic tiles.
