This 1940's era bathroom was remodeled and updated. Gas wall heater was removed. New custom floating cabinets replaced the old cabinets. All electrical and plumbing was updated, including Electric Mirror lighted mirrors for the best grooming light. An overhanging lavatory allows for a narrower cabinet in a small space. Guest bath by Av Elva Sol. This shower-over-tub has a tri-folding door which folds open flat against the wall for ultimate ease in bathing young children. Carrara marble and sea glass green tile allows for a kid-friendly color scheme that remains sophisticated. Tall shelf space in niche. Marble tile and marble slab. Glass tile skirt and wall reflect light and yet appear to recede, making a small space feel much larger. Walnut niche with towel hooks continue the austere yet whimsical beach house theme.

This master bathroom was so much fun to update! One of the things that the client said that made them think of a tropical island was the color green. So we added green hues to give it a tropical island feel.

This residence had been recently remodeled, with the exception of two of the bathrooms. Michael Merrill Design Studio enlarged the downstairs bathroom, which now has a spa-like atmosphere. It serves pool guests as well as house guests. Over-scaled tile floors and architectural glass tiled walls impart a dramatic modernity to the space. Note the polished stainless steel ledge in the shower niche. A German lacquered vanity and a Jack Lenor Larsen roman shade complete the space. Upstairs, the bathroom has a much more organic feel, using a shaved pebble floor, linen textured vinyl wall covering, and a watery green wall tile. Here the vanity is veneered in a rich walnut. A two-bed, two-bath condo located in the Historic Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC was reimagined with the clean lined sensibilities and celebration of beautiful materials found in Mid-Century Modern designs. A soothing gray-green color palette sets the backdrop for cherry cabinetry and white oak floors. Specialty lighting, handmade tile, and a slate clad corner fireplace further elevate the space. A new Trex deck with cable railing system connects the home to the outdoors.
