We retained the canyon walls and built a patio into the hillside to create an area where you can walk down and enjoy the beautiful canyon views. This backyard had been filled with unwanted bamboo. After hand digging up all the bamboo, it was cut into varying heights for this to be used for this art element in the garden. Each piece of bamboo was buried into the ground around 1' deep and then tied together with thrashing cord. A sinuous bamboo wall adds year round interest in this backyard.
