Hawkeye Landscape Design We began this project with the idea of making a friendly entryway and social area under the Mulberry tree which provides much needed shade in this hot, mountainous area. The 'red fescue' meadow grass has a cooling effect and the agaves reduce the need for excess water and maintenance. The backyard has a covered dining area with a corner lounge and fireplace. The large barbecue offers a cantilevered counter for entertaining. The waterfall into the pool is surrounded with bamboo and plantings that emulate the hillside beyond the property. The permeable paving and mix of Vitex and Olive trees provide shade for smaller seating areas to enjoy the variety of succulents throughout the garden

This Custom Country French Exterior Wood Entry, DbyD-2012, was designed with 2 - 36" X 96" one lite doors with flat V-Grove panels in the bottom, 2 - 18" X 96" matching sidelites and a 4 piece transom. The glass is clear beveled insulated glass. We did matching doors for the rest of the house. Most of the interior doors are solid knotty alder doors with one flat V-Grove panel over one flat V-Grove panel. The front doors and library doors were built with Wrought Iron Grills. The homeowner liked our designs and ask us to design all the Iron for his stairs and balcony. We finished and installed all the doors and provided Rocky Mountain Hardware throughout the house. This beautiful Country French Home is in Burnt Pine Golf Club in Destin, Florida.

Influenced by English Cotswold and French country architecture, this eclectic European lake home showcases a predominantly stone exterior paired with a cedar shingle roof. Interior features like wide-plank oak floors, plaster walls, custom iron windows in the kitchen and great room and a custom limestone fireplace create old world charm. An open floor plan and generous use of glass allow for views from nearly every space and create a connection to the gardens and abundant outdoor living space. This Ranch Hacienda hillside estate boasts well over 13,000 square feet under roof. A loggia serves as the backbone for the design. Each space, both interior and exterior, has a direct response to the linear expression of outdoor space. The exterior materials and detailing are rustic and simple in nature. The mass and scale create drama and correspond to the vast desert skyline and adjacent majestic McDowell mountain views. Features of the house include a motor court with dual garages, a separate guest quarters, and a walk-in cooler. Silverleaf is known for its embodiment of traditional architectural styles, and this house expresses the essence of a hacienda with its communal courtyard spaces and quiet luxury. This restoration and addition had the aim of preserving the original Spanish Revival style, which meant plenty of colorful tile work, and traditional custom elements. The living room adjoins the kitchen.
