KraftMaster Renovations Counters look great they could be refinished too. Nantucket grey for the walls and contented for the cabinetry. Benjamin Moore colors

lindalou1961 The Flooring is a light oak. I thought about refinishing the countertops but now they will match the flooring. Should the cabinets and the backing be the same color? Should the top cabinets match the bottom cabinets they are two different materials? The top cabinets are wood oak. The bottom cabinets are just pressed wood.

Amy Stanley I would add long open shelves over that bar area to give you more storage painted in the color of the cabinets- I would paint all the cabinets the same color this would draw less attention to the difference in style. Is your hutch an off white?

Replacing the tile is a great way to add a new updated look you could paint/refinish the cabinetry.
New wall colors, light fixtures and a new counter would be the modest makeover

Sia@South47th Yes to the floor change, and please do consider painting the cab's. De-clutter everything and think about having it staged. In this market you have about 2 sec's to catch the attention of that potential buyer. Unless it's an investment buyer.

KraftMaster Renovations We remove many more tubs and install over sized showers so as long as there is another tub in the house your best to have a great shower
    3 hours ago ·
Sia@South47th Over sized and as luxurious as you can afford to make it. In other words turn that en-suite into a Spa.

Dytecture Soaker tub and shower would appeal to more buyers when it's time to sell.

KraftMaster Renovations I've done both and they each serve a different purpose and give a different result. Refacing might be an option to consider if the interior is in good condition. Are you doing it yourself ? If not the cost or refacing is not very different from getting new.

A Design Alliance , Inc. Usually a reface is priced by the lineal foot $250.00 per is an average .. for a small kitchen this equates to
approximately $10,000 and you still have the old drawer boxes and interiors . A complete redo with cost effective materials can be about the same or a little more and then it is all brand new . do your homework see what is best for you . The photo of the attached kitchen was approximately $12,000 complete

Sia@South47th When you say 'resurface' are you speaking mainly of painting? Or were you planning to add trim etc? I agree if the wood is sound and you are DIY'ing for a quick spruce up, then paint is an inexpensive way to go. Adding trim etc and having someone else do the job for you can be pricey and on par with off the shelf cabinets. Don't forget about the hardware!
