It is Bluestone irregular flagstone. In the industry, the term "steppers" refers to stone pieces 8" to 18" in diameter while "flagstone" refers to stone pieces 18" to 40" in diameter. Since this path contains some larger pieces, it is flagstone. Also, there is a difference between "irregular" and "patterned." Irregular is like this in the photo, while patterned refers to stone pieces that have been cut to nominal dimensions and set in various brick patterns (i.e. 12"x12", 12"x24", etc.) Thanks for asking!
