We Wende Wood LLC custom built this unit from scratch. Mostly Grainger limit/relay switches and a industrial cable hoist with a double cable pull snatch block setup. Angle iron and square tube make up the structure with grey melamine for the car. The car is approximately 22" deep X 42" wide X 72" tall with a fixed mid shelf. Sliding plexi-glass doors are so that the contents stay in the car, the plex-glass doors have limit switches on them also so they must be shut for the car to operate. The doors at the bottom and top have gravity locks and limit switches that must be activated to allow the car to move as well so you can't send the car from above or below while the door is open. Something like this would run approx, $12-$14k 1/4 the cost of an elevator.
