We recently purchased a new house that needs tons of updating, everything appears to be 1993 original). The ceiling, crown molding, and walls are now all the same color of white. The doors and window/door trim are all plasticky fake brown oak. Carpet is new and beige. The windows are all actually nice wood that we would prefer not to paint. Would it look good to paint all the doors and trim white, and leave the wood windows? We would paint the walls a nice tan color to contrast all the white trim. Popcorn ceilings will have to come down too eventually. We're on a budget!
