Beautiful mix of earthy colors - what is the wall color?

My kitchen is not near so grand as this but I have a similar problem. I have an external "box" of a range hood that is not centered over my range. Does the insert to this hood (the functional suction part) extend the full width of the hood or does it just extend over the cook top? I have a 30 inch range that extends only the right 30 inches below a 48 inch box/external hood. I love the hood but am trying to figure out the size and configuration of the insert. Cannot widen the range as it would mean tearing out the cabinets. What to do? Should the insert go with the range or the hood?
