If the seller is a knowledgable bonsai-ist, I would ask them, but if they are just a dealer who doesn't really do bonsai, then I'd wait, and possibly not transplant this year at all. It'll be late-ish when you get it, and it will need more time to recover from the trip, plus I personally would want to get a look at the roots, etc. myself before anything.

Are you familiar at all with this tree? i can not find much info on it. I have seen a few pictures of it as bonsai, and lots of picture of it in the wild. I cant seem to find any information on soil conditions.
