well, debbie, welcome to our forum and hello from Georgia too! Sounds like that set of bamboo closet doors could be salvaged and made into a room divider, a dressing screen, a screen to use against an unsightly wall (I have one of those walls in my son's old room) that wall is covered by an old wicker screen i bought at a yard sale for $5.00....

Woooooo, I got so excited about your bamboo doors, I forgot to ask "Where are you in Geogia....I'm so northwest georgia...i can shop in Chattanooga and Cleveland only need to travel basically the same distance to either one of them!

I'm not sure what these bamboo doors look like but have you considered the sliding barn door hardware to attach them? They would be attached to the track and it would slide across the outside opening to your closet. Do an online search using "barn door hardware" and you will see what I mean. That way you don't have to worry about them staying in a "track" since they are just attached at the top. I have seen these used in homes and think they look awesome.

You might want to post your msg in the "home decorating" forum. They might be better at answering your Q over there. (Sorry, I don't have a better suggestion.)
