If at all possible, when you've done what you were 'roped into', relax and enjoy the 'show'! Echoing Jim's request, pictures would be fun; somebody dancing with a lampshade on their head, maybe? LOL

Well, since I can't go, I have to rely on pictures either my son or somebody on her mother's side makes. Her mother is a professional photographer. From here it would just be artificial flowers for garlands (cheaper than real flowers made on the day of the event by a florist). Since I don't know anybody on the grooms side, I can't promise that somebody would dance with the lampshade. BTW, it is an evening outdoor wedding. It is not one of those 20 000.00 affairs.

Sounds like a flurry of activity! I hope everyone gets a chance to savor it a bit. I wish you could go, but maybe there will be good enough pictures you'll feel like you were there?

I have a life long family friend whom I haven't seen in forever (she's a practicing addict) whose daughter just married. I am not in close enough confidence that I could/should attended the wedding. But, I am still in touch with the mom who attended her grand-daughter's wedding. She sent pictures and it was almost like being there. I saw how everyone looked, the room, so many candid shots of dancing, it was pretty good. Not the same, but pretty good. And a video of him sending her a present and note. So sweet. Making me cry again! They are really in love. Actually, it was kind of better. Too much chaos for me to be in the midst of. I like the sidelines sometimes.

It's why I wished the good pictures for you. I do mean it.
