They do look like comfrey to me....but not like my established plants ;)

Hmm... The lady at the orchard asked about my plants and said that if they were fuzzy they weren't Comfrey. These little guys are pretty soft and fuzzy, also the images I saw on the internet had leaves that were more pointy than my plants.
But if you think perhaps they will grow up to look more like the images I'll keep them around. :-)

Borage

Thanks Jaynine. I have done quite a bit more searching of images and found some interesting threads about comfrey and how easily misidentified it is. It has been confused with Foxglove, Green Alkanet and now Borage.

The good news is that I'm fine with it being Borage, but I'd still like to get some Comfrey since that is what I thought I got.

Definitely Borage. Once you know both plants in person they are easily told apart. The flowers have no resemblance to Comfrey at all and the leaves are pretty dissimilar. Plus one is annual and the other perennial. Although it was an exchange and not a sale I am surprised it could be so badly misidentified.
