Could be a trimmed pond cypress (close relative of baldcypress). Nice tree, but might suffer alittle in z5. Grows tall and narrow.

Depends on area of Ohio......zone six here with some really amazing microclimates where even some palms have been overwintering.

That is a thread-leaf form of Platycladus orientalis. It is a nice slow growing conifer that will work well there.
