Trouble started with gas in the crankcase. After studying this forum, I installed a shutoff between tank & filter and installed a new needle valve. Thought maybe the brake pad was stuck(couldn't push her fore or aft after engaging safety lever in back), so I took it all apart, cleaned and reassembled. She will move forward now when pushing, but feels like the tranny is engaged. Now she is stalling(with an abundant burst of smoke) if I try to let out on the clutch or engage the mower. Bent valve? I'm tired of working on this thing.
Thanks ahead of time for any help, I have two (spare) engines to rebuild for my old boat and that's about all the mechaniking I have time for, almost hoping for a miracle here, Lol!
