Winnie The Pooh A.V. Care?

I have had a 'Winnie The Pooh' semi-mini violet for like a year and it bloomed for nearly the entire year. Then I found 2 more on EBay..and just bought them..they keep describing the leaves as being 'Clacamus' type? What does that mean. I mean I can see the leaves are a bit odd shaped,but on my old one,they look like a semi-mini leaves now...on the new ones they are tighter and almost V shaped? I am hoping they will be constant bloomers like the first one. They are in tiny pots,like 2in pots,and not blooming yet. But is this a hard one to grow and bloom and I just got lucky with the first one? Or do these 'Clacamous' leaves make it hard to grow?? Or is it just like calling them Boy or Girl shaped leaves? No big deal. Any tips on growing this cutie.? I love Winnie The Pooh, so you can imagine the joy when I found a violet named after him!:)

Clacamous foliage is very different from "normal" AV foliage.

Clacamous leaves have a "Three-D" effect, a feel to them like no other. It's like little pebbles glued onto them. and the leaf veins are different as well.

Clacamous foliage, like mosiac foliage grows smaller than most plants, and more slowly, usually. Because this particular plant is an older plant, there are usually not many flowers. More recent semiminiatures have three or more flowers on each bloomstalk so when in bloom they appear to have many more flowers.

Hmmm.Mine feels like a fuzzy AV leaf. The new ones are more slick and a bit bumpy. I do only get 1 bloom per stem,but it was in constant bloom till just a month ago. So now I guess the older one is taking a rest. Just to have a violet named after Pooh, is so cute! I had to have more than 1. Now I have 3.
The older one has a long 'turkey neck' on it,about 2in,..but everytime I have gone and repotted any of my violets to lower the neck into the soil...within weeks the plant is dead! So I am going to live with the 'turkey neck'.Till I know the other two are blooming and going to live here. This is how I have lost my favorite fantasy violet,'Astro'...and now I cant find that plant anywhere to replace it!

You need to scrape the turkey neck like you would scrape a carrot. This stimulates roots.

Cut off about half an inch of the root ball are replace into pot. Add fresh soil to cover the turkey neck.

After scraping the 'turkey neck' maybe you could apply rooting hormone?

I did exactly that to my Astro plant and I now have a very ugly sickly looking plant, that was beautiful, except for the neck...and took everyones advice, like you just said. And now it look like it will die soon. I even used the rooting hormone, AV soil, clean new pot, and cut off the bottom of the soil, about an inch, it had a tall neck....and now it is getting tiny leaves and the blooms have stopped and it looks horrible. Well,maybe my Winnie The Poohs will make up for the loss:(
