well I am a former salon owner and hairdresser, Nice job!! I love the old touches and pretty colors.... If these lights are to be task lighting to help light up a working space like checking in clients then they have to be high enough so the light spreads. Also if someone is bending over to look in her purse or writing a check and her head causes a shadow that can be a problem too. Will you be selling anything from the table? Will there be a computer or register there? Do you want them to be more decorative? I would be there on install day with a couple of staff there to help make decisions. Have them be at and behind the desk and have the lights help up so you can stand back and make decisions. The are not rules in the sense as there are for dinning tables or kitchen counters as your desk is a vintage piece and may change over the years. Once the ceiling hard wiring is done changing out the light is not hard to do. Congratulations!

It's just for mainly Decore . No computers or anything . Just what you see . Year 2 just want to finish odds and ends . I also worry if the size ( scale of them are to wide for that small desk . Our origanal one baught was perfect . But I'm not the owner .. But choose and designed ideas and made things , purchased . Wish I had balls to own salon . But to risky $
